Here's to 1st Steps!

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." ~ Lao Tzu I am not a writer by profession, honestly I failed my college writing class. I am a women, a daughter, a wife and a mother. I work full time and come home to a house that I share with my wonderful husband, two teenagers, two dogs and two cats. I want to start this blog to help keep myself inspired for the new year. 2014 is knocking on the door and well 2013 was mostly a blur of work, laundry, and sports. I want to start a internal journey in 2014 to slow down, you know, the whole stop and smell the roses kind of thing. I'm not promising myself a pretty journey...I actually think it will be kind of hard. There's lots of things that I want to do, and not just leave them as a pin on my Pintrest board. In 2014 I want to get my hands dirty, I want to make the things around me that I love pretty and discard all the extra. I want to clear my schedule to indulge in the afternoon tea and then a glass of wine to celebrate the sunset. So I am hoping that by writing on this blog every day that I can put together some kind of road map of where I have come from on my journey since I yet to know exactly where I am going.
